Rules Q&A
- Q: [EE] let's suppose Yogo Heijin isn't at the current battlefield. Could he still bring one of your courtiers and an enemy personality to current battlefield? another [EE] question, which inspired my query earlier today. Can 'The Host's Advantage' be used if you have no presence in battle?
A: No. Heijin has to be at the battlefield himself to take the action.
Indeed, it cannot. No exceptions to Presence within its text/effects.
(Replying to a player: "following up on EE and the Rule of Presence. What about Guided by Honor? can it be used in a battlefield where there are only enemy units?") Yes. Moving a unit to the current battlefield is an exception to Presence (and Location for the initial targeting). Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 29 Jun 2025
