If you use Black Marketeering to take a Personality with the owners clan alignment, subsequently giving them Loyal with Learning will not stop the Personality's control returning at the end of the turn. Only a Personality who does not share a clan alignment will not return if you give them Loyal.
Learning says, "... a keyword on an enemy Personality." It does not target that Personality, and "enemy" includes cards in units at all locations, so the keyword can be copied off a Personality not at the current battlefield. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QUESTION: What if I use Discovering a Conspiracy to remove said clan alignment prior to taking said personality. Will I then retain said personality.
Discovering a conspiracy Battle/Open: Choose your performing unbowed magistrate and target a personality: His lord casts him out of treachery. permanently remove his clan alignment keywords. dishonor him. if he is at a battlefield, bow him and choose a player who gains or loses 1 honor.

PS. Id also like to know the answer to Nikkoichi's Question. Posted a day ago. Same card involved. Black Marketeering. Thanks.
A: Let me first apologize for the lack of expediency in answering your question.
In your example, removing the owner's Clan alignment from the "stolen" Personality who now has Loyal (thanks to Learning) would prevent him from returning to his owner's control when Black Marketeering attempts to give him back to his owner.
This is because the delayed effect for returning control triggers "before the turn ends" and, by rulebook default, Ongoing effects (such as the gained keyword from Learning) last "until the end of the turn." As such Black Marketeering will attempt to return the Personality while he still has the Loyal keyword, which will fail due to the restrictions from Loyal.
Once more, very sorry for the delay in answering your question. Ben Higgins, "Black Marketeering, Follow up Question", 12 Jan 2013 - Q: In this thread viewtopic.php?f=59&t=100218 I could use clarification on the ruling,
The Loyal keyword is found here http://rules.l5r.com/EE_Glossary_L#Loyal ,
This suggests that a personality with Loyal will simply not be controlled by a player that does not share a Clan alignment with the Personality.
So if Black Marketeering takes an out of clan personality such a Mantis Clan Player taking a Crab Clan Player's Crab Personality and the personality is given Loyal through Learning from a different personality, it still has the Clan Alignment of the original owner so would it not return back to the original owner because of Loyal by that definition?
It is possible the original question was if you take a out-of-clan personality for the player that originally controlled him then gave him Loyal would it permanently become owned by the player that took the personality assuming it has Loyal by the end of the turn. But I just wanted to make sure as the first instance is way more likely to occur.
Also can you Learning a keyword off a personality not at the current battlefield?

Alex Jones, "Black Marketeering + Learning + Loyal", 25 Oct 2012 - Q: If I play Black Marketeering on an out of clan personality and then play Learning on the same personality and take the keyword Loyal from an enemy personality will I be able to permanently keep the personality? By default effects last until end of turn so the personality still has Loyal "before the turn ends" when you are supposed to give the personality back from Black Marketeering.
Black Marketeering: Battle: Target an enemy Personality whose unit's total Gold cost is 10 or lower: He defects. Take control of him (he joins your army). Dishonor him. Destroy any of his Followers whose Honor Requirement he now fails to meet. Give control of him to his owner before the turn ends.
