Rules Q&A
- Q: How does Honor Lesson Dojo work with Formations or any other action that gives you more actions example: Blade of Thorns
A: You do what the cards tell you. If they tell you to take another Battle or Open Action, then do it. Martin Lund, "Rules for 28 November 2004", 30 Nov 2004 - Q: Something has just occured to me with the handful of items available now (or will be) that attach during battle and do blah.
If a player using Kyuden Gotei bows a naval Card for two consecutive Battle actions, if the first is to attach, say the Blade of Thorns, does the subsequent Fear affect that follows mean that the player has made his two battle actions they bowed a Naval card for?
A: Blade of Thorns says to gain an additional Battle action [card text]. It really would be an extra action. It would not overlap the second one from Kyuden Gotei. Jeff Alexander, "rules for 24 March 2004", 26 Mar 2004 - Q: I have a silly question. IIRC It was ruled that the Blade of Thorns could only use the Battle: Fear 3 ability once; when it was brought into play as a battle action. If this is true doesn't that mean that the Yumi of Fire could only use its consecutive Ranged Attacks once and only if it was brought into play as a Battle action? If the Blade of Thorns wasn't ruled this way then please let me know. Thanks in advance.
A: The Blade of Thorns was not ruled that way. Both these Items' actions can also be used in the normal fashion. Jeff Alexander, "rules for 24 March 2004", 26 Mar 2004
