Rules Q&A
- Q: Hello,
Regarding this: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=102763
Does this ruling apply only at battlefields or can it be extended in homes ?
I mean, let's say a player only has Goju Yorishi xp or a personality with The Emerald Armor xp2 equiped in play and his opponent has at least one personality in play. That player plays something like Hotei's Contentement Kitsuki Judgement (provided there are only Human personnalities in play) Accidental Confession Frozen in Place Asako House Guard's open action
Is Goju Yorishi or the personality with the Emerald Armor xp2 a legal target for any of these actions ? If not, does the player have to target one of his own personalities then ?
A: In general, yes.
However, note that Yurishi xp and the Emerald Armor xp2 work differently. Yurishi may not be targeted if any other legal targets are available (including another player's). The Emerald Armor xp2 only prevents you from targeting while another legal Personality is available at its Personality's location. Your home and the other player's home are separate locations, so if the Personality with The Emerald Armor is your only Personality, your opponent is not forced to target one of his Personalities in his home.
