Rules Q&A
- Q: Regarding this.
Death of the Wind being a Coils of Madness card, isn't it not performed ? Without Mercy couldn't be triggered then.
A: You are correct. Fixed the original. Jon Palmer, "Death of the Wind + Without Mercy", 1 Aug 2013 - Q: Based on that : viewtopic.php?f=59&t=102302 - is this valid play?
1. Play Death Of The Winds - search for a card that does something bad 2. React with Without Mercy 3. Play a different card than the one searched for, that of course also does something bad 4. Play a card search for with Death Of The Winds.
I'm 95% convinced that it is, but since the wording changed a little bit with IvE cards, maybe it's worth to ask...
A: Because Death of the Winds isn't performed, it's not a legal trigger for Without Mercy. So you'd have to choose an action with Death of the Winds that was performed by your samurai and didn't target your opponent, then you could react to THAT action with Without Mercy and take another additional.
