Rules Q&A
- Q: Also would it stop Accept with Honor since it is a reaction that also does not stop the duel/challenge? And thus Misdirection could not be played either as well as Turn of Fortune?
A: It can stop Accept with Honor, but not Misdirection or Turn of Fortune, since they respond to the Action targeting, not the Challenge effect. Martin Lund, "Rules for 30 January 2005", 4 Feb 2005 - Q: So if I accept a duel, I can't play Accept With Honor, and a Shosuro Tech, and then use Kakita Masazumi's action? I thought the rule was you can only use each printed reaction once, but could use as many reactions as you had available.
A: Not what I meant to say. Based on the context of the original question, I thought the assertion was that a single card could make multiple Reactions to a trigger. Which, of course, it cannot. My apologies. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 1 December 2003, Part 2", 2 Dec 2003 - Q: Reju chanllenges Rokuro and Rokuro accepts so the duel has begun but Joraro steals Rokuro's honor from the Accept With Honor so Rokuro starts the duel with Joraro, they focus and Rokuro wins. Now he has been in his duel the whole time with Reju so his Chi bonuses were made from focusing in a duel with Reju while dueling Joraro?
A: I think you're asking if a personality in a "nested" duel can gain benefits of focusing in more than one duel.
No (Gold Edition rulebook, pg. 61). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 8 September 2003", 9 Sep 2003 - Q: Is it possible to cancel Accept with Honor with Keen Eye?
A: Yes. Accept With Honor is played "after...accept[ing] a challenge". Keen Eye "negates the effects of a Reaction taken...during a challenge or duel". Jeff Alexander, "post for 6 May 2003", 7 May 2003
