Rules Q&A
- Q: Does PW affect Rekai's Chi of 3 *before* her focus is considered (thereby killing her and keeping the Bloodsword at +1/+1), or is it considered along with the Chukandomo focus? What if she had been targeted with Uncertainty before the duel?
A: She already has the +4 Chi from focusing Chukandomo, well before Poisoned Weapon can be resolved.
"This card immediately grants your Personality a secret chi bonus equal to it Focus value until the duel ends." (Diamond Edition Rulebook, page 89, "Challenging and Dueling") Martin Lund, "Rules for 7 April 2004", 8 Apr 2004 - Q: For example, if he wins a duel whilest wielding a Bloodsword, can I destroy a Tattoo token to essentially gain +4/+2 through the Bloodsword? Obviously, the Bloodsword's tokens are NOT +4/+2. They are +2/+2, but he has gained an additional +2 for his PH.
A: The Bloodsword is an example of the latter, since the tokens change the sword's bonus rather than creating new bonuses that go directly to the Personality. Wayan's reaction cannot be used. Jeff Alexander, "replies to 28-30 June", 5 Jul 2001
