The Scorpion Clan

Legend of the Five Rings card from Emperor Edition

Card Type: Other
Card Text: We are the shadows of Bayushi. We wait in the night, watching the weakness and hypocrisy of the other clans. We alone accept that terrible things must be done for the Empire to prosper, and we rejoice in the trust of the Empress that we shall see such things done. We are the knife in the dark, the villain that must exist to protect the Empress from threats she cannot see. We are Scorpion.

Q: One of the things I've always wondered about the Scorpion clan coup is why they just didn't MRP older versions of the appropriate cards, so they didn't have to add 'inexperienced' to the lexicon.
A: I'm glad they didn't, but I too am surprised, considering how many storyline-related MRPs they made in Jade Edition (Hitomi, Togashi Hoshi, Tamori Yoshi, etc). Brook Cunningham, "Oracle of the Void #l5r", 25 Apr 2021
