Rules Q&A
- Q: Moto Aikenro: Battle Range 3. Straighten Aikenro if you have moved your Cavalry Personality to Aikenro's battlefield this turn.
Does his abilty refer to moving a Cavalry personality to the current battlefield that he is at (whether he was there or not at the time), or simply that you have moved a Cavalry personality into an army he was in?
Scenario 1: Moto Kyouaku-Inu and Aikenro assign to attack one province. I resolve a 2nd province and Calvary Engage over, using Kyouaku-Inu to drag Aikenro over during the battle. Would that allow him to straighten? (Seems too good, so I'm guessing not.)
Scenario 2: I assign Aikenro to attack and Cavalry engage a personality into his battlefield. He gets sent home with the favor. Later in the same attack phase I move him into a different battlefield. Would his ability straighten him then? (I'm guessing yes.)
A: "Aikenro's battlefield" is evaluated at the time the action is taken, not at the time you moved your Cavalry Personality.
1. Yes, as you have moved a Cavalry Personality to the battlefield Aikenro is currently at.
2. No, unless you've moved another Cavalry Personality to the current battlefield this turn. Alex Jones, "Moto Aikenro", 20 Apr 2015
