Rules Q&A
- Q: I use Deadly Orders on my Brother In Arms basic and he become a 6F follower that is destroyed after resolution right? But what if at another battlefield I manage to put him again in my hand and then into game again by using his other copies, does he still get the force bonus? What if the follower I gave the bonus is the Brothers In Arms experienced?
A: Firstly, the force of your Brothers in Arms (basic) after using deadly orders on it will be (2 base + (2base x 2) equals) 6.
Once a card goes from play or the discard pile to your hand, all effects on it are gone. When you put that same Brothers in Arms in play the follwer's force will be 2 again.
For Brothers in Arms Experienced, the force after Deadly Orders will be (3 base + (3basex 2) equals) 9, and his force when you return Brothers in Arms Experienced to your hand via the ability on Brothers in Arms (basic), and then put him into play will be 3 again.
EDIT: Edited for Card accuracy. Dan Jacobson, "Deadly Orders", 23 Mar 2009 - Q: If a Brothers in arms (non experienced) gets destroyed, and comes back, can he use that ability again? Since he had lost the ability when he hit the graveyard?
A: Yes, for reason stated. The trait of the Experienced Brothers in Arms affects only cards in play (http://rules.l5r.com/Physically_marked_ ... ut_of_play). Zen Faulkes, "Brothers In Arms + Fortified Camp", 24 Sep 2008 - Q: If my oponent destroys my Brother In Arms Experienced and then I use Fortified Camp to attach it back again to one of my personalities do I get to use the battle action (on) the normal Brothers In Arms one more time even if already used before?
A: Yes, for reasons stated in the post you linked to. Zen Faulkes, "Brothers In Arms + Fortified Camp", 23 Sep 2008
