Rules Q&A
- Q: if my hida zaiberu is at home, can i announce Hidden Reserves and pay 3 gold, move Hida zaiberu in the battle, and then fail to attach Hidden Reserves, which then goes into the discard pile?
Hida Zaiberu Cannot attach Followers.
Hidden Reserves 3G Battle, * : If this Follower is in your hand, target your Personality at any location. If he would be opposed, move him to the current battlefield and Equip this Follower to him.
A: If you do this the attachment will fail, and Zaiberu will move the current battlefield. Jon Palmer, "Hida Zaiberu and Hidden Reserves", 4 May 2015 - Q: After reading the ruling in this thread: Cavalry Escort and Ogre Bushi/Hida Zaiberu
Doesn't the above ruling contradict with this thread's ruling: Re: Cavarly Escort?
<Re: Cavarly Escort> thread's ruling was made 5 days after the ruling on the <Cavalry Escort and Ogre Bushi/Hida Zaiberu> thread's ruling. Since it was ruled that "Equiping is not the same as Attaching", would this mean Ogre Bushi and/or Hida Zaiberu get keep the Cavalry Escort follower on either of these two personalities when using this follower's ability?
A: No, Ogre Bushi nor Hida Zaiberu would not be able to keep a Cavalry Escort that brought them into play.
I'm sorry, but I see no contradiction in the two rulings. Brook Cunningham, "Re: Cavalry Escort and Ogre Bushi/Hida Zaiberu", 4 Jun 2014 - Q: K on the oricle it doesn't say he has the crab clan keyword BUT can I buy him at regular cost? Or do I have to pay 2 more? Cause the oricle says he is crab clan. So does his clan mon
A: Hida Zaiberu does indeed have the Crab Clan Clan Alignment, as you rightly indicated, because of his Crab Clan Mon.
Whether those Clan Alignments will result in the keyword explicitly stated in the Oracle is under discussion. Ben Higgins, "Hida Zaiberu", 3 Jun 2014
