Rules Q&A
- Q: Let's say I control two Personalities, Bob and Joe, in the same army. Each of them has a Poison token given by Shosuro Sadao. If I use Bountiful Fields targeting these two guys, will they lose the force penalty from the tokens? Does the answer depend on the number of Shosuro Sadao involved? (i.e. if it was the same copy or two different copies that gave them their respective tokens)
Shosuro Sadao Ninja Battle: Give a target enemy Personality a -1F/-1C Poison token. You may move Sadao home if the target was Lion Clan.
Bountiful Fields Battle, bow: Target two or more of your Personalities with Force penalties from the same source. Negate those penalties.
The rules about tokens say: This bonus or penalty is considered to come from the last effect that placed the token on the card or area.
A: Per the CR definition of "From", the Source is the card on which the effect, action or targeting is printed on. Therefore, if they each have a poison token from the same Shosuro Sadao, Bountiful Fields can negate them. If the tokens are from two separate copies of Shosuro Sadao, it cannot negate them.
