- Q: Hi,
If i played a Wedge, can i negate my personality's destruction with Ward of Air?
Same question, Ward of Air vs Way of the Crab.

A: With both Wedge and Way of the Crab, the Personality is being destroyed by a Battle action, so Ward of Air can be triggered. Alex Jones, "Ward of Air and Wedge or Way of the Crab", 21 Jul 2015 - Q: Don't know if this question was already asked here but I wanted to know if straightening a bowed personality is a cost to play Way of the Crab?
Card Text: If you are a Crab Clan player, this Strategy has Discipline (1).
Battle: Straighten your target Personality. Negate all Force penalties on him. He has +2F while his army is opposed. Destroy him before the turn ends.
Does the personality targeted have to be bowed to receive the following effects of Way of the Crab? "Straighten you bowed personality." essentially becoming the cost? Or can the personality I target be straightened and still receive the effects?
Thanks in advance!
A: Nope. The only costs nowadays are bowing and gold, denoted by the appropriate icons. If the Personality is unbowed, the straighten effect will simply fail. Jon Palmer, "Cost for Way of the Crab", 5 Mar 2015 - Q: Does Feign Death work with Way of the Crab and Wedge?
A: It will not, because Feign Death's effect only triggers of the Personality is destroyed during the action's resolution. Actions with delayed destruction, such as Way of the Crab and Wedge, will not later trigger it. Jon Palmer, "Feign Death", 5 Mar 2015 - Q: Hey guys,
So, Way of the Crab's wording is "+2 Force while opposed"; does this mean that, after my opponent plays this card, if I remove my presence (thereby making it an unopposed battle), the +2F goes away? Would the ruling be different if it said "if he is opposed" instead?
Thanks!
A: The +2F is a conditional effect that applies while his army is opposed, goes away if he becomes unopposed, and reapplies if he becomes opposed later in the turn.
If the opposition was a targeting restriction instead, it would be worded "Straighten your target opposed Personality... Give him +2F." Jon Palmer, "Way of the Crab Opposed Force Bonus", 19 Aug 2014
