Rules Q&A
- Q: simply put. Does he work on Courage Bold Cards? Courage IS a Bushido virtue right?
A: Courage is indeed a virtue of Bushido, but Nakiru only works with cards with keywords "Bushido" and "Virtue", such as Open Emotion. Alex Jones, "Akodo Naikiru and Courage", 26 May 2015 - Q: This is not a Code of Bushido question, so when I mention "bringing a Wind into play", you have to assume I'm bringing, say, Doji Kurohito into play - maybe multiple times, 'cause I'm also using Shrine to Tsukune. In the future, when CoB releases, there might be easier ways to do it, but I'd like an answer quickly...
Say I have the Underhand in play, and, because I got careless, one of its abilities got removed by Same Old Tricks. Then my Underhand is removed from the game, and I bring one into play - from outside the game, I suppose.
Does it get its abilities back? (I assume it does)
Now, more tricky, and potentially more abusable.
Does it "remember" which Political action cards I've already fetched with it?
A: Nothing says you have to bring the same copy of the Wind Card into play each time. I'm thinking about Doji Tanitsu Experienced and Suitengu's Surge in Diamond Edition in particular. Each time Tanitsu enters play while you do not control a copy of Underhand of the Emperor, you can bring any copy of Underhand of the Emperor you own into play from outside of the game.
You could grab one you've already used, or one that you've never used before. The one's you've never used before aren't impacted by other copies of the card any more than your third copy of Doji Domotai is impacted by something that dealt with your first copy of her.
It seems very strange because Winds are normally a one-per-player sort of card, but all the standard principles apply until Jeff decides otherwise. Martin Lund, "Bringing Winds into play", 19 Aug 2005 - Q: Zen Faulkes wrote:
Jeff Alexander already explicitly said that the Loyal trait is waived in sealed deck.

Clan joining restrictions (X will only join X Clan., X will not join X Clan.) are waived.
Much effort has been made to point out that by rulebook definition, Loyal is not a trait.
A: "Loyal" is a trait, although that fact bears no matter on the question at hand.
The relevant part of the Web of Lies rulesheet is this:
"When a Personality has the Loyal trait, he or she will not join you unless he or she is aligned with your Faction."
This is a restriction against joining you based on Clan (which is an outdated term that means the exact same thing that "Faction" means now). It is clearly waived by the Code of Bushido under the Sealed Deck tournament format. Jeff Alexander, "March 2005 Ruling Archive", 30 Mar 2005
