Rules Q&A
- Q: When opponent is making the invest on Saido and I have a personality with Iron Armor, does the Melee 5 fully hit or is it reduced?
A: Goju Saido's Melee Attack will be reduced by 2 if you target the Iron Armour's Personality. Alex Jones, "Goju Saido & Iron Armor", 29 May 2015 - Q: What happens if i play sudden movement to a personality in a battle with iron armor and a personality at home without it?
does the personality at home move to the current battlefield?
A: Neither Personality moves.
See Switch: When an effect switches the locations of two units, each one simultaneously moves to the location of the other. If one movement is negated, the other one is also negated. Alex Jones, "Iron Armor with Sudden Movement", 24 Apr 2015 - Q: Regarding the previous ruling given this:

The current rules on cavalry are:
"Absent Engage: Target your unbowed Personality in a Cavalry unit at any location. Move him to the current battlefield."
Noting that you cannot use the Cavalry absent engage with a non-cavalry unit: wouldn't the cavalry keyword give you the ability to use cavalry thus making Iron Armor stop the Cavalry Absent engage from a unit with the Iron Armor equipped?
A: The Cavalry Engage Player Ability is an ability in the Rulebook: it is not, as you suggest, "an ability granted by the Cavalry keyword".
Using the ability creates rulebook effects, not card effects. Alex Jones, "Re: Cavalry and Iron Armor", 7 Apr 2015 - Q: Regards viewtopic.php?p=1463291#p1463291 and viewtopic.php?p=1463292#p1463292
By my reading of Accesible Terrain, it grants each player a Player Abilty, why is it considered a Card Effect?
A: Because it still comes FROM Accessible Terrain, and therefore is a card effect. Again, note that the exception under "From" in the CR does NOT apply to abilities granted to players, only to abilities granted to other cards. Jon Palmer, "Accesible Terrain vs. Brazen Disregard or Iron Armor", 27 Mar 2015 - Q: Can I move Personality with Iron Armor attached using action granted by Accessiable Terrain?
My first thought was no, as Iron Armor ignores card effects, but after reading them carefully I am not so sure anymore. Accessiable Terrain is only source of player ability to move into armies and player abilities are not restricted by Iron Armor's trait. So technically question is: Is player ability granted by a card (e.g. Combat at Court, Accessiable Terrain, Severed from the Emperor) considered to be a card effect?
A: Since the ability is granted by Accessible Terrain, it is a card effect, and Iron Armor will stop it. Jon Palmer, "Accessiable Terrain vs. Iron Armor", 27 Mar 2015 - Q: I saw the Way of the Crane vs Iron Armor post in which if a personality can not move, they must accept the duel. What happens if the personality is already dishonored? Do they also have to accept because they are unable to dishonor their personality as a cost of refusing?
Way of the Crane Reads:
Thank you
A: A dishonoured Personality must indeed accept the challenge. Alex Jones, "Dishonored vs Way of the Crane", 23 Feb 2015
