Rules Q&A
- Q: Suppose a game state in where I have played all the cards in my dynasty deck, but I still have 2 provinces. Suppose also, that those provinces do not currently hold any dynasty cards.
If I then play Undermining the Otomo to move a discarded personality to one of those provinces:
Code: Select all Political Open: Even if this Strategy is in your discard pile, put your target discarded (not dead) Personality into one of your Provinces, discarding any card there. Remove this Strategy from the game.
Is it a legal play, since I'm unable to 'discard any card there'?
In other words, does Undermining the Otomo require me discard a card from my province to use it?
Thanks!
A: You may use Underming the Otomo on an empty province.
"Any card" allows for no card to be in your province.
Also, please check the Good Faith Rule, which determines whether an action is legal to take or not - knowing that an effect of an action will fail is does not in general prevent the action being taken.
