Rules Q&A
- Q: Hi, is it implied that he can target items and spells? My instinct is that he cannot but I would like to check.
It doesn't say he can target items and spells, but if so it could have been worded as follows:
A: It is not implied that he can target items and spells; absent another effect, he cannot per the normal rules on Fear.
However, if an effect modifying his Fear allows him to target those attachment types, he will destroy them if he bows them. Jon Palmer, "Kakita Ujirou xp", 13 Jul 2015 - Q: Regarding this older ruling:
viewtopic.php?f=59&t=108529&p=1426368&hilit=family+fear#p1426368
Ist this a Reversal or just a mistake?
viewtopic.php?f=59&t=113603
... or did I just miss the change in the comprehensive rules?
A: It's a mistake on my part, I'm correcting it. Jon Palmer, "RE: Kakita Ujirou & Tested Blade", 8 May 2015 - Q: Kakita Ujirou:
Tested Blade:
so if Ujirou has Tested Blade attached can you combine the fear effects so that you can target a dishonorable personality with followers and destroy it after it bows? is there a difference if you use Ujirou's action and interrupt with Tested Blade or Vice versa?
A: UPDATED: Attack effects come from the original ability used, but targeting requirements are a restriction on each ability. If you use Ujirou's ability and Interrupt with Tested Blade, it will destroy attachments and dishonorable Personalities, but may not target a Personality with followers. If you use Tested Blade's ability and Interrupt with Ujirou's, it may neither target a Personality with followers (as Ujirou's ability cannot do this), nor will it destroy attachments and dishonorable Personalities.
