Rules Q&A
- Q: Does the ability of Campsite works as a single reaction or rather as a string of reactions? Thank you.
A: A string. It's used once per unit. Jeff Alexander, "post for 14 May 2003", 15 May 2003 - Q: How many times can I use Campsite? Ie. I can draw only one card or one for each unit attacking the province?
A: The latter. You get cards when units are moved into battle, too.

A: Only if the Campsite is used in response to someone moving into the battle once it's begun. Fall On Your Knees cancels a Reaction taken during the Battle Action Segment only. [card text] It can't react to a Campsite used during initial infantry or cavalry assignment. Jeff Alexander, "post for 1 October 2002", 2 Oct 2002 - Q: There were some wuestions at out local tournament about Campsite/Draw Them Out.
1. When the player with Campsite uses his reaction it isn't an all or nothing proposition, is it? I mean if 4 units attack can he choose to draw 2 cards rather than 0 or 4? 2. Does he have to announce how many he is drawing or is the reaction to each unit seperate? (I draw one...and another...and another...)
A: Each unit assignment and each movement is a separate trigger. The Campsite's Reaction is optional against each individual one. Jeff Alexander, "post for 26 August 2002", 27 Aug 2002 - Q: Let me go on record as saying I wish [Draw Them Out] wasn't here. As a Dragon running Shrio mirumoto with my fate-cycling shugenja, Ive never had to worry before when I draw 17 cards a trun from Chieh, stronghold and Campsite. Thanks for giving me one more thing to worry about.
A: Hey. I'm here for you. Jeff Alexander, "post for 22 August 2002", 23 Aug 2002 - Q: First, if your opponent attacks and assigns a unit to attack you Campsite province, and you draw a Call to arms, can you use it?
A: No. Call to Arms is played in the Declaration Segment, which is before all unit assignment. Jeff Alexander, "post for 8 October 2001", 8 Oct 2001 - Q: Second question, on a totally unrelated topic... (heh), excactly how many cards are drawn with Campsite when being attacked. 1, or 1 per unit?
A: 1 per unit, just like it says. Jeff Alexander, "replies to 10-14 July 2001", 19 Jul 2001 - Q: excactly how many cards are drawn with Campsite when being attacked. 1, or 1 per unit?
A: Like the card says: Once per unit per turn. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 15 July 2001", 15 Jul 2001 - Q: On the new Campsite region it states that "once per unit per turn" you get to draw a card for that unit moving into or assigning to the province. On the original it stated the same, except it said that "once per unit" and at the end it said it could be done once per turn.
A: No, it didn't. Campsite didn't change in Gold. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 11 July 2001", 12 Jul 2001
