Rules Q&A
- Q: Per the wording on the card, "After a battle resolution in which this Follower was in an army that destroyed any enemy units or a Province, gain 2 Honor." does the follower need to be present during Battle Resolution in order to trigger the honor gain? This scenario came up:
1) During battle, I use a ranged attack to destroy a personality. Personal Instructor is present during this action. 2) Personality with Personal Instructor is then sent home. 3) Both players pass, battle moves to resolution.
Would I gain 2 honor as the follower was in an army that destroyed an enemy unit after battle resolution? The past tense on the was is what brought up the confusion.
A: "After" is your trigger, and "a battle resolution in which this Follower was in an army that destroyed any enemy units or a Province" is all one clause. Therefore, the Follower needs to be in the army during battle resolution, and battle resolution needs to be what destroyed the enemy unit or a Province, in order for its honor gain to trigger.
