Rules Q&A
- Q: most likely incredibly unlikely to happen, but I've got a hypothetical:
"Card memory" prevents an action without Repeatable from being used twice in the same turn. This means actions from Discipline cards cannot usually be taken in the same turn they were played.
The Onyx Crane SH Side B has a trait that gives Favor actions Repeatable.
Word from the Imperial Court becomes a Favor action when using it via Discipline. If I'm on Crane Side B, does that mean WftIC gains Repeatable? And since I'm discarding the Favor as an added cost to the Discipline, can I use the Crane SH's Response for the bow-less any-time lobby?
A: You definitely cannot use the Crane SH's Response; this isn't a Favor cost. The rest seems to track; a Crane with Box Side 2 up using "Word" with Discipline would cause it to have "Repeatable" because it would give it "Favor". Weird that it gives itself "double Political" in that case too. 😛 Small oversight, I suppose. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 21 Feb 2024
