Rules Q&A
- Q: Query- Chuda Ruri Exp 2- When using her ability to steal a personality, is the gold paid added to the cost of the card? specifically, is it discounted by Mishime sensei?
A: That Gold payment isn't a cost. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 16 Jul 2024 - Q: Does [CHuda Ruri] get the "[mishime sensei] cost reduction for maho actions"?
her maho action isn't a "cost"?

A: That Gold payment isn't a cost. Brook Cunningham, "Onyx Lives #rules-questions", 16 Jul 2024 - Q: I think I know the answer to this one but card you control and your cards are two separate things. one is ownership and one is control. my reason for checking is this card combined with some of the stealing effects like Chuda Ruri do not synergies as Ruri only gives you control but they are still not considered your card and so you couldn't steal their personality, target them with the garden and then just never unbow it and have their personality become a very nice statue right?
A: "Your" is synonymous with "that you currently control" unless it specifically states "own" or refers to a card in an uncontrolled state, such as in hand or discard, in which case it means "that you own" because it can't mean anything else. So, yes, you absolutely could steal and statue-ify. Brook Cunningham, "Onyx Lives #rules-questions", 8 May 2024
