- Q: That make sense ok. And just to clarify the interaction between Retreating Salvo and Hideyo sensei, does the movement of Salvo occur before the RA so i can apply the -2F of Hideyo? Hideyo is "after your personality moves" so thats why i doubt
A: Yes. The effects of the card occur in the order written. Also note that the "to" means that your Personality has to both bow and move or else the RA effect doesn't even happen at all, so they would have to occur before it.
(Replying to a player: "Follow up question, if I negate the RA with Flame's Protection, the enemy personality returns to the battlefield? Or they stay at home since the movement was done first and the spell only negated the RA?") FP negates all the action's effects before they happen. The Salvo Personality never bows and never leaves.
(Replying to a player: "Because bowing and moving the personality is not a cost, right?") Right; everything after the colon are effects of the action. Some are just conditional upon others happening first.
