Rules Q&A
- Q: Ok, so essentially WotD trait is counting the number of Rings I have in play all the time, and cards like Shinsei's Heart are not rings at the moment of Lobbying, so they are not added to the bonus.
A: They only count as Rings when an action itself is looking for Rings directly. They don't count as Rings simply "during" actions, but specifically "for" them; I think that distinction may be the crux of the disconnect. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 29 Mar 2025 - Q: [ShE] Do you draw a card with Mirumoto Higashi if you Recruit a Shinsei's Heart or put The Way of the Dragon XP into play?
A: No. Higashi's draw is from a trait, not an action. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 27 Mar 2025 - Q: Er, why? Kisada's funeral only checks during actions, during which Shinsei's heart has the Ring keyword
A: It says "for" actions, not during them. The Ring is checked by the funerals continuous effect, not the action itself. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 20 Apr 2024 - Q: I am double checking this . Does [Shinsei's Heart] counting as a ring for [Kisada's Funeral] cause it is meanwhile action?
A: No. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 20 Apr 2024
