Rules Q&A
- Q: [ShE] Does Okui have to be attached to a shugenja? It says it is considered a spell, but does that mean it has the restrictions of a spell? My understanding is it can, but I could read it as you can't. Related, Yumi of the Void seems formatted in such a way that it is both, and thus can only go on Shugenja. But the different formatting may just be them getting fancy with the Yumi.
A: Yes, Okui can only attach to a Shugenja because it's considered a Spell, carrying that same attachment restriction.
And yes, the Yumi is just a bit of a fancy throwback to the Inazuma Blade. 🙂 Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 14 Oct 2025
