Rules Q&A
- Q: Does House of Loose Silk's Conspiracy generation trait require a Personality to be recruited to trigger and can it be triggered off your own Personality being recruited?
A: Yes, and yes. Brook Cunningham, "House of Loose Silk", 21 Sep 2014 - Q: In a more general sense, does Kobi keep gaining Conspiracy tokens automatically vs. Faceless builds?
A: She would, yes. Ben Higgins, "Clarification on Kobi Sensei", 29 Jul 2014 - Q: I'm just looking to clarify the wording on Conspiracy:
Conspiracy (Event) Choose a Personality. After the next time this game he is destroyed while in an army, you, then the player who last controlled the Personality, each lose 5 Honor.
Should I read the first part ("Choose a personality") as "target a personality in play"?
If there are no personalities in play, can I choose a personality that may be in play at some point? Say, someone that is face up in my opponents provinces, and will come into play on their turn?
If it said "target a personality" I don't think there would be ambiguity.
Thanks
A: You must choose a personality in play. No targeting is involved. The word "Choose" was chosen, I imagine, to make sure there was no targeting was involved, as targeting can be directed elsewhere, etc. Dan Jacobson, "Conspiracy targeting", 29 Jun 2009
