Rules Q&A
- Q: [3d] Nobori Raiu: If I and my opponent both have this weapon at a battlefield, does the attacker or defender get first action? And how does it relate to other effects that seem to give first action such as Akodo Yosuke?
A: 1. Probably the Attacker. The active player chooses what order effects with the same trigger happen, so they would more than likely choose their own to go last, giving them the first action.
2. Most other such actions are Engage actions. Since Nobori Raiu triggers just before the Combat Segment begins, it happens after any/all Engage actions and thus trumps them all. Brook Cunningham, "Onyx Lives #rules-questions", 14 Oct 2026
