Rules Q&A
- Q: I did a search and this question was never really answered. Am I able to use Profits twice in a turn? It's trait doesn't say once per turn as other traits do (such as the Daigtosu Susaiken). Thanks for your help
Edit: Relevant text
Profits: Before you produce Gold to pay for a card with a base Gold Cost of 1 or greater: You may reduce the total Gold produced by 1; if you did, put a Wealth token on this card after the other card enters play.
Daigotsu Susaiken: After Susaiken enters play: Discard all your other Sensei Personalities. Once per turn, you may refill one of your provinces face-up
A: Yes. Traits that do not state once per turn may be used once per trigger. Jon Palmer, "Profits", 25 Jan 2013 - Q: So a province with the Plains holds two Dynasty cards, and Susaiken says "Once per turn, you may refill one of your provinces face-up." Does this allow you to flip both cards in the Plains province face-up as they are both part of one province? The way it's worded, you should be able to refill both face-up, but it's always good to check.
A: This would only be possible if you were refilling both slots of the Province simultaneously. Since provinces refill automatically when they're empty (see CR on Provinces), generally the instant you buy something, it refills and you can trigger Susaiken then.
If both cards in the Province were refilling simultaneously (for instance, via an effect that said to discard all cards in the province), then Susaiken could refill both face up. Jon Palmer, "Plains of Otosan + Daigotsu Susaiken", 12 Nov 2012
