Rules Q&A
- Q: Basically, I need to work out if the following play is legal:
I am attacking. At Province A I have Doji Chitose. At Province B I have Doji Bob. My oppponent defends a personality against Bob, but leaves nobody opposing Doji Chitose.
I choose to resolve Province A (with Chitose) first. My opponent passes. Am I able to play Two-Front War by bowing Doji Chitose to pay the cost, and moving Doji Bob from battlefield B to home. and therefore being able to react with Chitose to drag Bob into Province A?
I hope you understand what I'm attempting to do, it's clumsily worded
A: In your scenario, Doji Bob at battlefield B is not a legal target for a Two-Front War taken during the battle at battlefield A, unless you use Two-Front's own effects to move him directly there. Only doing that would satisfy the Exception to the Rule of Location (see here). Brook Cunningham, "Doji Chitose + Two-Front War", 10 Jan 2009 - Q: Assuming my opponent controls the favor: Is increasing the focus value of any battle action with the stronghold ability a legal trigger for Doji Chitose?
A: The stronghold has a Political action. Yes. Zen Faulkes, "doji chitose and kyuden kyotei", 9 Aug 2008
