Rules Q&A
- Q: Doji Domotai (Experienced 4) can do a reaction to draw a card when you discard the Imperial Favor. Let's say that I discard the Favor to send an attacking enemy unit home, but Domotai is not at the same province where this is occurring. Can Domotai still use her reaction to draw a card or do the rules of presence apply?
If the rules of presence do not apply, is this due to the specific action type (IE a Imperial Favor related action which is a player ability) or can other reactions be activated without regards to the rules of presence?
A: The Rules of Presence and Location only apply to Battle actions.
Reactions (of any kind) are not bound by them. Brook Cunningham, "Doji Domotai (XP 4) rules of presence vs reaction usage", 2 Aug 2009
