Rules Q&A
- Q: We've had a recent debate on Kakita Yoshi/Doji Tanitsu and how he works when battles are concerned. I finally had to sit down and read the Presence/Relevance rules to my players - most of whom are still thinking on the old "I can take Open actions with no one present, as long as it doesn't target their cards or province" rules.
A: Like Zen, I cannot think of a time when the rules ever worked like that. Jeff Alexander, "post for 3 March 2003", 4 Mar 2003 - Q: Quick question on Doji Tanisu. Card says he cannot be assigned to defend.
Can he be moved into battle ? ie: at your command ?
A: Yes. Assigning and moving are two different things. Jeff Alexander, "post for 28 February 2003", 1 Mar 2003 - Q: (correction made in the order of steps in the Favor scenario)
This question concerns the ability of Doji Tanitsu: "Political Open: Bow Tanitsu to take the Imperial Favor. This is not considered lobbying."
Q: With 3 Tanitsus in play, is it possible/legal for a player to acquire the Favor four times during his turn (3 Tanitsus plus a normal Lobby) and discard it five times during that turn if he starts the turn holding it?
A: Yes and yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 6 February 2002", 7 Feb 2002
