Rules Q&A
- Q: My question is, if I already have a XP1 version of a personality in play, say Doji Tanitsu for sake of arguement, UA resolves & I flip Doji Tanitsu XP2. Following rules for the Unique keyword, I cannot have 2 cards with the same name & the Unique keyword in play at the same time.
A: Indeed Martin Lund, "Rules for 8 November 2004", 12 Nov 2004 - Q: If I have a non-Daigotsu wind, lobbying is a political action and I must bow a personality with more than 0 ph. If I bring black heart of the empire with Doji Tanitsu exp, is lobbying still a political action?
A: No. Jeff Alexander, "rules for 16 Feb. 204", 18 Feb 2004 - Q: When you bring a Doji Tanitsu experienced into play, can you choose to bring in the Black Heart of the Empire as a result of his trait?
A: Yes (card text). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 8 December 2003", 8 Dec 2003 - Q: If I overlay tanitsu exp 2 onto tanitsu exp do I lose the extra wind granted by tanitsu exp 2 because I lose the trait? Or do I keep the extra wind because Tanitsu has not left play?
A: Keep it (Diamond rules, pg. 66). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 7 December 2003", 7 Dec 2003 - Q: If I bring Doji Tanitsu exp into play, and thus also bring a second Wind into play, what happens when I overlay the exp2 version? As I see it, the second Wind would remain in play, but does the "while Tanitsu remains in play" duration of that Wind still carry over?
A: No (Diamond Edition rules, pg. 66). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 25 November 2003", 25 Nov 2003 - Q: You bring [Doji Tanitsu] exp 1 into play, go get a second wind and put it into play. Then, you overlay him with the exp2 version, which erases the trait allowing you to bring the wind into play and the clause for its removal. Does the second wind stay in play permanently even if the Tanitsu is destroyed?
A: Yes. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 1 November 2003", 1 Nov 2003
