Rules Q&A
- Q: If the dishonored personality received force penalties at the current battle and was destroyed, does the force penalty applied by Echoes of Disgrace target the base force of the dishonorably dead personality?
A: Such bonuses are usually ongoing effects. http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Effects#Effects ... ut_of_play: "Ongoing effects on a card in play persist when the card leaves play(.)" So current value is used since Echoes of Disgrace doesn't specify base. Zen Faulkes, "Echoes of Disgrace and pre-existing Force Penalties", 29 Jan 2010 - Q: Player A declares an attack and assigns on province A. Player B defends, but assigns on province B. Player A resolves province B first. Is it legal to play Echoes of Disgrace provided that Player A has a dishonorably dead personality?
A: Does not meet Rule of Presence. http://rules.l5r.com/Battles#Combat_Segment Zen Faulkes, "Echoes of Disgrace", 17 Aug 2007 - Q: (C)an Player B target the personality that was assigned on Province A?
A: If it were legal to take the action at all, yes. Zen Faulkes, "Echoes of Disgrace", 17 Aug 2007
