- Instead of taking a Dynasty action, you may place any number of Shadowlands Personalities and Followers face-up under this Holding from your Provinces or hand, or you may Recruit or Equip a card under this Holding if it has been there for a number of turns equal to or greater than its Force, ignoring Gold Cost.
When this Holding is destroyed, all cards under it are also destroyed. - Legality

Rules Q&A
- Q: If I shove a Shadowlands personality under the Forgotten Tomb, do I have to meet the honor requirement when I bring him into play using the Forgotten Tomb's trait?
A: "Honor requirements must still be met. [JA, 6 June 2002]" (Accumulated Rulings, "Forgotten Tomb") Martin Lund, "Rules for 14 - 17 August 2004", 18 Aug 2004 - Q: If a player has a Forgotten Tomb with two Shadowlands cards under it (and no other Shadowlands cards in play), can a player use a single Master of the Bells to destroy the Forgotten Tomb?
A: Yes. The cards underneath the Tomb don't count as being in play for any purposes. Vaughn Derderian, "Post for June 23rd, 2003", 23 Jun 2003 - Q: What exactly consitutes a full turn with Forgotten Tomb?
A: Count only your own turns. [GE p. 39] Jeff Alexander, "post for 31 March 2003", 1 Apr 2003 - Q: I was wondering how much turns Baku no Oni had to stay under Forgotten Tomb, 0 or depending on your cards in hand?
How exactly does this work?
A: Its Force doesn't change until it enters play. It will come out in 0 turns unless there is something giving Force bonuses to Oni still in your deck, like The Spawning Grounds. Jeff Alexander, "post for 11 October 2002", 12 Oct 2002 - Q: This is a two part question.
First: Can you put things under the Forgotten Tomb when it is bowed?
A: Traits of a card are active even while it is bowed. [p. 33] Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 16 September 2002", 17 Sep 2002 - Q: I'm assuming this has been asked already....
Friend of mine wants to play Baku no Oni and use Forgotten Tomb with Spawning Ground.
It should come out like this correct?
Baku no Oni goes under Forgotten Tomb, he has 0 force, so he comes out immediately, gains the force/chi = 1/2 the # of fate cards in players hand and then gains the +1/+1 from the Spawning Ground.
A: Wrong.
The Spawning Ground, by MRP in Gold Edition, applies a +1/+1 bonus to all cards you own. It's always on during the game, wherever your cards are. Baku no Oni is a 1/1 before entering play and would have to wait a turn. Jeff Alexander, "post for 7 June 2002", 8 Jun 2002 - Q: Also, if Oni no Akuma is placed in the Forgotten Tomb, is the province from which it came destroyed? Or is it destroyed when Oni no Akuma emerges from the tomb, or is it not destroyed at all? I suspect the latter.
A: The MRP of Oni no Akuma destroys the Province "from which it was played". If it's not played from a Province, it doesn't destroy one. Jeff Alexander, "post for 1 April 2002", 2 Apr 2002 - Q: Just to make sure, Forgotten tomb says "cards in the FT may be brought into play, without gold cost, during the dynasty phase"
This includes followers right?
A: Right. Jeff Alexander, "post for 5 March 2002", 6 Mar 2002 - Q: "...any number of Shadowlands Personalities OR FOLLOWERS..."
Works really well for some cards (Ikiryo, f'rexample).
So, if you slap Ikyro down or some other follower/personality with zero force, are they built that turn? Or, is there a minimum 1 turn delay?
A: They are played that turn. Jeff Alexander, "post for 5 March 2002", 6 Mar 2002 - Q: Q3) When placing Shadowlands Personality cards under Forgotten Tomb while playing Spawning Ground, do you use the cards' printed force or their force with the +1 bonus from the stronghold for determining when they enter play?
A: Forgotten Tomb cares about current Force, since it just says "Force". By MRP, the Spawning Ground gives +1F to cards you "own", which means they get the bonus even when they're not in play. Therefore, it will take your goblins and such an extra turn to come out of the Tomb. Jeff Alexander, "post for 11-12 February 2002", 12 Feb 2002 - Q: When you put a personality into play from other place than a province, as you can do with Kuni Yori Exp3 or Forgotten Tomb, does the entering into play effects trigger? I mean, a 4 honor loss, a Will only Join trait...
A: Yes. You can't play a Personality this way who will only join another clan. Jeff Alexander, "post for 18 November 2001", 19 Nov 2001 - Q: I am playing Spawning Ground, and have a Forgotten Tomb in play. If I play a Goblin Wizard under the Forgotten Tomb, does it get to come right out, or does it wait until next turn? Reason I ask is that while it is under the Tomb, it is not technically in play, in my hand, or in any deck.
A: By MRP, the Spawning Ground affects all cards you own. You own that Goblin Wizard no matter where it is. It gets the bonus and comes out a turn later than normal. Jeff Alexander, "post for 30 October 2001", 31 Oct 2001 - Q: Forgotten Tomb says :
"Shadowlands During your Dynasty Phase, you may place any number of Shadowlands Personalities and Shadowlands Followers face up under the Forgotten Tomb from your hand or Provinces. You may bring cards under the Forgotten Tomb into play without Gold cost during one of your Dynasty Phases after a number of turns equal to each card's Force, paying all non-Gold costs. If the Forgotten Tomb is moved or destroyed, the cards move or are destroyed with it."
"after a number of turns equal to each card's Force". Count other player's turns for it?
A: Nope. Anything that refers to a number of turns counts your turns only. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for August 17th", 17 Aug 2001 - Q: Forgotten Tomb - Can card with zero Force be brought into play immediately after being put under the Tomb, or must they wait a turn?
A: 0 turns is essentialy equivalent to nothing. A 0f card can enter play immediately. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for August 14th", 14 Aug 2001 - Q: Do Personalities coming into play from a Forgotten Tomb generate Honor gains? Of course this is providing they are of the correct Faction (eg. Matsu Daoquon for Lion).
A: No. Bringing something into play 'without gold cost' doesn't generate an honor gain. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for July 3rd", 3 Jul 2001
