Personalities who already have the Tactician trait may use it to gain Force bonuses. [VRD, 8 November 2000] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 140

Q: If someone is using Akodo Sensei, and a personality of theirs qualifies (3 chi or higher and doesn't have Tactician already) can they play Moment of Brilliance on him or give him the Fan of Command so he can gain force bonuses?
A: Yes. If a Personality acquires the Tactician trait from somewhere besides the Sensei, the restriction against using it to gain a Force bonus no longer applies. Jeff Alexander, "Rulings for 15-16 February 2001", 19 Feb 2001
Q: Hello there,
1) Can your personalities receive the force bonus equal to your chi with White Shore Plains when playing with Akodo Sensei?
A: Absolutely. White Shore plain doesn't 'use' the Tactician trait, it just checks to make sure that its there. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for November 26th", 26 Nov 2000
