Rules Q&A
- Q: Is Genmyo legal to play as Myuken? They're both Soul of Kyogen with the same stats and battle action?
A: No, you may not play Genmyo. Jon Palmer, "Myuken / Genmyo / Kyogen", 1 Apr 2014 - Q: Hi,
When Genmyo copies a word does it copies until turn ends or permanetly?
Have situation that Genmyo copie a word Kensai, has already attached one wepon and now I can attached him a second wepon. What hapen next. Does he lose his Kensai keyword at the end of the round? And What hapen with wepons attached to him?
And one more, If genmyo copies a Kensai word and then I play on him a Spirit of the Blade, Limited: Choose your performing unbowed Personality: If he is a Kensai, permanently give him the ability, "Battle: Bow one of this Personality's Weapons and target an enemy card without attachments: Destroy it." Otherwise, permanently give him Kensai.
Does he get the ability permanetly or just until end phase?
Thx for reply
A: The duration for any effect that doesn't specify a duration is until the end of the turn.
For both attaching two weapons and gaining the ability on Spirit of the Blade, Genmyo only needs to be Kensai at the time the weapon is attached or action is taken. If he later loses the Kensai keyword, he does not lose the weapon or the ability. Jon Palmer, "Genmyo", 5 May 2012 - Q: There is a an Apprentice Shinobi on the table and Genmyo has used his ability to turn himself into a Ninja. Does this count as a Ninja action for the Apprentice Shinobi's trait (+1F for each Ninja action performed)?
A: Genmyo's action is not a Ninja action, because when the action is announced, Genmyo does not have the Ninja keyword, so his ability is not a Ninja ability. Alex Jones, "Genmyo and Ninja Actions", 19 Apr 2012
