- "You survey the city as if it were a battlefield," Shigetoshi said with an amused grin.
"Everything is a battlefield, my lord," the old general replied., A thunderous roar shook the ruined city. "Oni," Tadenori said, slowly drawing his battle fan., As the search continued, Tadenori only grew more dour. The old general could sense trouble coming, like a farmer can smell a storm. - Artist

Rules Q&A
- Q: 2) Togashi Mitsu is attacking me, with 5 fire tokens, I defend with Akodo Tadenori and play Honor is My Blade. Does Tadenori gain 7 force or 2, likewise does Mitsu lose 7 or 2?
A: You switch their total Forces. Before the card, Mitsu is 7F and Tadenori is 0F. After it, Mitsu would be 0 and Tadenori would be 7. [GE p. 32] Jeff Alexander, "post for 3 April 2003", 4 Apr 2003 - Q: If Akodo Tadenori is hit by retirement, and next turn he tacticians a Focus Four, is he 0 force or four force. Seems like 0, but not sure.
A: Retirement gives him a permanent -4F. [card text] 0 - 4 + 4 = 0. Jeff Alexander, "post for 15 October 2002", 16 Oct 2002 - Q: Meaning, say if Akodo Tadenori attacked a province with the Shadowlands Marsh on it, he would orginially be 0F, as usual. The attack chooses (after the defender passes) to tactician a 4. Would Tadenori's force be 4, or would it be 2, as the card "remembers" the deduction?
A: It's not a memory so much as it is basic math. 0 minus 2 plus 4 equals 2. Remember, you only set values to a lower limit of 0 after all your math is done. Jeff Alexander, "post for 29 May 2002", 30 May 2002 - Q: [I]f Akodo Tadenori attacked a province with the Shadowlands Marsh on it, he would orginially be 0F, as usual. The attack chooses to tactician a 4. Would Tadenori's force be 4, or would it be 2[?]
A: See Dark Allies rulebook, pages 31 (rule), 32 (example in bold): 2. Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 27 May 2002", 28 May 2002 - Q: ok, heres another one...
player A is a lion, with one Akodo Tadenori, and one Matsu Nimuro in play, while his own Peasant Revolt shows up.
Nimuro bows, and Tadenori doesn't.
but now player A decides to use his lonely Tadenori to destroy anothers player province, using a strenght of purity and tactician trait to improve his force....
now the question:
at the end of the battle, Tadenori bows during the resultion segment, asume player A has a ralling cry in his hand:
[...] AND THE ANSWER IS... d) he can use it. rallying cry PREVENTS tadenori from bowing in the first place.
A: Correct. Jeff Alexander, "post for 28 February 2002", 1 Mar 2002 - Q: Behalf Of Kaiten Akodo
Sorry to say but you're both wrong. Let's take Akodo Tadenori and Ikoma Junjin. Say you wanted 3 of Tadenori in your deck but only had 2 so you threw in a Gunjin. If you played family tactics "Akodo", Tadenori would get it but not Gunjin, if you played family tactics "Ikoma", Gunjin would get it, not the Tadenori's
A: That is true in Open. If you're playing Strict Gold, all three of those get played by Akodo Tadenori's wording from Gold Edition, right down to the smallest detail. Jeff Alexander, "post for 28 February 2002", 1 Mar 2002
