Shosuro Infiltrator (relevant text only) Battle: If this card is attached to a Scorpion Clan Personality, discard it: Create a 3F/1C/0PH Scorpion Clan • Samurai Personality card in this army. After the battle ends, remove the created Personality from the game, then return this card to play attached to this Personality.
Do the Ancestor/Follower come back unbowed?
What if, say, it removed the entire unit, like The Masters Imprisoned, but never mentioned anything about 'preserving bowed status'?
I mean, the cards are out-of-play in an area that has no orientation, right? And since the normal orientation of a card being brought into play is unbowed (except holdings), they would (re-)enter play like that; is my assupmtion correct?
A: As stated on p22 of the Comprehensive Rules: Cards, other than Holdings, enter play in the unbowed state. Alex Jones, "Shosuro Infiltrator / Guardian of the Rift", 9 May 2014 - Q: Kitsu Marimi creates a personality with the Ancestor trait. Does this count for the gold production on Ancestral Shrine at all and can the Guardian of the Rift target an Ancestor personality?
A: Yes, an amusing and unforseen side effect of giving a keyword to Personalities that is a defunct card type is that Legacy cards, unless/until errata'd, won't know the difference between the two. Therefore, yes, Guardian of the Rift and Ancestral Shrine will affect/count both Ancestor cards and Personalities with the Ancestor keyword. Brook Cunningham, "Kitsu Marimi in Legacy", 11 Feb 2011
