Rules Q&A
- Q: I saw a few question regarding Tsubo and other Sake token, but nothing regarding Justly Earned Victory.
The situation I am curious about is when Tsubo comes into play, he gains 5 +1 Force Sake tokens. I remove one per his text, then use Alone with One's Thoughts to add 3 more Sake tokens. I proceed to attack with him and my opponent plays Justly Earned Victory during the battle. I believe the three tokens added from Alone with One's Thoughts are the only tokens negated since the original four remaining tokens came from a trait, not an action. Is this correct?
Also, do I remove the original tokens every turn first? Am I able to choose what Sake token to remove as it simply says Sake token?
Thank you for your time.
A: Justly Earned Victory negates the force bonuses only from tokens created by actions, not by traits.
You may remove any Sake token on Tsubo for his trait - including ones created by Humble House, which will not then require another Sake token to be removed. Alex Jones, "Tsubo the Drunk and Justly Earned Victory", 2 Jun 2011
