An Act of Disdain Text
Political Open: Destroy your target unbowed Courtier Personality with 3 or more Personal Honor. After each time (this turn) another player's target Personality assigns or an action on a card in his unit resolves, dishonor him and gain 3 Honor.
i got confuse with the wording "action on a card in his unit", does it need to be the targeted personality action ? or even my action from hand or personality will also trigger an act of disdain?
such as those? 1) ranked hath privilege as either the bowing cost or the target the an act of disdain will trigger?
2) imperial summons as the target?
3) Tamori Chikyu's ability?
4) your true nature targeting his follower/attachment?
A: "An action on a card in his unit" means exactly that - an action, located on the Personality or one of his attachments. It does not trigger off other cards targeting the unit.
Tamori Chikyu's ability will trigger the loss if Tamori Chikyu is the Personality targeted by An Act of Disdain and he uses his own ability, but not if another Chikyu targets the Personality targeted by An Act of Disdain. Jon Palmer, "an act of disdain", 4 Jul 2015 - Q: with the new ways traits interact with rulebook actions i have some questions regarding cavalry and naval and An Act of Disdain.
If my cavalry naval personality is targeted by An Act of Disdain and i declare an attack assigning no infantry, then use the cavalry engage to move in the targeted personality, does that trigger An Act of Disdain? If i declare the naval engage action with the same personality will it trigger An Act of Disdain?
A: Neither Cavalry nor Naval are an action "on" a card in a unit. However, An Act of Disdain will trigger if you actually use the action granted by Naval, since it needs to come from a card in the Personality's unit. Jon Palmer, "An Act of Disdain", 5 Mar 2015
