Rules Q&A
- Q: I'm the defender. I have a Unique region attached to the current battle's Province. Can I target the region to play Into the Darkness and send home two attacking units ?
A: No. Diamond glossary: "Opposing" = cards in armies, "armies" = units. Regions can't be in armies, therefore can never be opposing. Zen Faulkes, "Into the Darkness / Unique Region", 31 Mar 2005 - Q: A unique personality performs into the darkness to send home 2 opposing units. Then Tangen sensei redirects it. Can the new target be one of the 2 units?
A: The only redirection quetsion you ever need ask yourself: Could you have originally picked the unit in the first place? In this case, picking the same unit twice? No. Two units are going home. Zen Faulkes, "Into the Darkness + Tangen Sensei", 25 Mar 2005 - Q: [OBH]
If I target my Kettei with (INTO THE DARKNESS), is i(nto the darkness) being performed by my personality?
A: No. Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 23 Aug 2026
