Rules Q&A
- Q: So, er, the following is a way to gain infinite honour, right? Bring Oni no Pekkle nonexp into play. Tattoo her with either Iron Mountain or the card Tattooed. Attach a Corrupt Jade Sliver. Give her a Crane Tattoo. Use the Corrupt Jade Sliver to kill her (not a targetted action).
A: As pointed out, it does under Gold Edition rules. Jeff Alexander, "post for 18 July 2002", 19 Jul 2002 - Q: -> Anyone know for sure if its bestowing of "Naval"-ity upon a unit is *Permanent* (a la Iron Mountain) or *Until the End of the Current Player's Turn* as is the default for force bonuses, or the Noble Halls' Tactician-making?
A: It is not the default for force bonuses. It is the default for all game effects. Since the posted Stronghold does not specify a duration... Jeff Alexander, "post for 5 March 2002", 6 Mar 2002 - Q: Let's say I am playing Dragon- Iron Mountain (go figure) and I play wide terrain, making my PS 12. The original amount of the force attacking at each province was 5. The new attacking force is 10 and for arguments sake, let's say he had no force pumpers and goes home. Can I play the Ring of Earth?
A: No. He never had an amount of force greater than your province strength. If, for whatever reason, he had 7 at one province and 3 at the other, then it would be legal to play RoE after Wide Terrain. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for December 18th", 18 Dec 2000
