Rules Q&A
- Q: Pulse of the Black Finger River has resolved, and later on in a battle I use a Ranged Attack on one of my opponent's Personalities and he uses, say, Experienced Isawa Nakamuro to redirect it to kill a Shadowlands Personality in my army. Who gains the honor?
A: You. Redirecting an action does not change its source or creator. Jeff Alexander, "post for 3 December 2002", 4 Dec 2002 - Q: The Bulb's attack comes immediately after the Personality's own, so it would happen before Nobumoto goes home.
My question is: does Isawa Nakamuro (Exp.) ability ' Elemental Reaction: Bow Nakamuro when a ranged attack or spell effect targets a card in his army to redirect it to another target in this battle. This may redirect an effect that targets an "opposing" card to a card in its own army. ' allow me to redirect it to Mukami before he leaves the battle?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 30 May 2002", 31 May 2002 - Q: I had a couple of questions come up at a recent DA pre-release tournament I ran, and would like to know if I made that right call.
The first one, and the one that pertains strictly to the Gold environment, is if Isawa Nakamuro and a couple other units (Doesn't matter who for this one) are at home and not assigned to battle, can Nakamuro redirect a ranged attack targeting one of those units via "No Hiding Place"? I ruled no, because Nankamuro says "army" which in the definition says attacking or defending...was that the right call?
A: It was. Nakamuro is not in an army when he's home. Jeff Alexander, "post for 9 April 2002", 10 Apr 2002
