- Q: Chieh XP has a Jade Yari and Kuro's Fire attached. Since she can cast Kuro's Fire outside of a battle, can she boost one of the ranged attacks by combining it with the Yari?

A: No. Both have to be legal at the time you're trying to make the Ranged Attack. One's a Reaction, one's a Battle action.
