Q: Can cards such as Asset Denial and Aramoro's Promise discard regions?
A: Not if the Region is already in play, attached to a Province.
http://rules.l5r.com/CE_Areas_of_the_ga ... of_play.29: "Cards attached to a Province are not 'in,' nor can be discarded 'from,' that Province."
Asset Denial discards a card "in" a province; Aramoro's Promise discards "from" a Province. Neither will touch a region attached. Zen Faulkes, "Asset Denial", 11 Dec 2011
