Rules Q&A
- Q: This is a follow-up question regarding my post about Daigotsu Kanpeki (here), which was poorly worded and hence confusing.
If there is a card that has an ability that e.g. reads "Once per game: Search your Dynasty deck[...]" (like Daigotsu Kanpeki with regards to the search for Daigotsu or Kayomasa) and this cards temporarily changes control until the end of turn, does once per game mean once per game or does it rather mean once per game per player/controller?
A: "Once per game/turn/battle" is a total, not a per-player limit. If a player uses the ability on a copy of Daigotsu Kanpeki, no other player can use the ability on that copy of Daigotsu Kanpeki for the rest of the game (unless the usage is "forgotten" because the card has become face down and out of play).
