- Q: Ok. Thanks for the reply to my last question. I thought everything was fine until someone pointed out to me that the current timing of seppukku is not immediately upon the decision being made.
"If a player opts to have a Samurai commit seppuku, the Samurai must commit seppuku as soon as it's known that an honor loss will occur. That may be immediately after being targeted by a card (e.g., Ambush), or after a decision is made (e.g., Iaijutsu Challenge). [VRD, 30 November 2000]"
A: That archive entry is out of date. The latest rulebook is two years newer. Seppuku is done as soon as the samurai performs an action, gets targeted by an action, or makes a decision that will cause an unconditional honor loss to his controller.
