Rulings
- Erratum: Reads, "Kitsuki Yasu 1F/4C 10HR 7G 4PH Dragon Clan Justicator. Samurai. Political Reaction: Bow Kitsuki Yasu when a Samurai is challenged. Force the Samurai to accept the challenge." [MRP, Pearl Edition] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 110
- Does not make challenges "unrefusable." Rather, he forces personalities to accept. Thus, he beats cards that allow refusing unrefusable duels (e.g., Enlightened Tutor, Kuro Sensei). [Reversal, JA 18 July 2000] Rules Archive, August 18, 2007, p. 110
- Alters the challenge by making it unrefusable. This means he will be overridden by cards that allow refusing unrefusable duels, such as Enlightened Tutor. [DW, personal correspondence, 10/9/98] Accumulated Rulings, February 8, 2000, p. 37
- Clarified: must be bowed when the challenge is issued. Text Change & Errata List, February 15, 2000, p. 17
- Erratum: Added: special ability now has the Political trait. Text Change & Errata List, February 15, 2000, p. 17
- Erratum: Clarified: must be bowed when the challenge is issued. Added: special ability now has the Political trait. Legend of the Five Rings FAQ, Version 3.4 & errata, June 1997, p. 27
Rules Q&A
- Q: [Jade] for Iajutsu Challenge if the challenger refuses the duel, but then is forced into it by Kitsuki Yasu, does that mean they are forced duel AND lose 7 honor and are dishonored?
A: No. Yasu reacts before the choice is made and forces acceptance. The refusal never happens (and Yasu's player has to use Yasu before you know if the other player was even going to refuse or not). Brook Cunningham, "Sun and Moon #rules-questions", 2 Apr 2026
