Rules Q&A
- Q: 2) Does the Lord Moon's Bones/Blood ruling apply if one of the cards you focus from your deck has a killer special effect you wern't expecting (Burning your Essence, for instance)?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 20 February 2003", 21 Feb 2003 - Q: He does not have a "phantom bonus" from focusing. He has a real bonus. Not everyone knows how large it is, but it's really there.
So what happens if Toku starts focussing some Lesser Oni against someone with Lord Moon's Bones?
A: Each time he focuses, he gets +0 Chi from the focus and -1C from the Bones' effect. At some point, this will kill him. Jeff Alexander, "post for 29 January 2003", 30 Jan 2003 - Q: Reads: During a duel against this personality, the opposing personality loses 1 chi for each focus card he or she plays.
first, "during duels against this personality" is a trigger for the chi penalty, but it is also a limit for the effect or the penalty lasts until the end of turn as it dont says specifically when the penalty ends.
A: It is not a duration for the penalties. They last all turn. Jeff Alexander, "post for 28 January 2003", 29 Jan 2003
