Rules Q&A
- Q: Can it be dishonored with Marries a Barbarian?
A: Yes. Jeff Alexander, "post for 8 April 2002", 9 Apr 2002 - Q: can someone "Code of Bushido" me if I try to "Marries a Barbarian" one of his Samurai?
A: No, because the Personality is neither taking the action nor creating an optional effect. Jeff Alexander, "post for 23 October 2001", 23 Oct 2001 - Q: I feel pretty dumb for asking this, as I'm sure I already know the answer, but I'd like someone official to back me up, cause I got into a little debate with someone about this recently. A Samurai can commit seppuku while they are Dishonored, if they are involved in something that causes a loss of family honor, correct? I mean, that's the whole point of seppuku, right? If a samurai Marries a Barbarian, and then Shames the family, they can seppuku at that point, can they not?
A: Sure. They don't have to be dishonored to Seppuku, though. Anytime that they are involved in an action or effect that would cause an honor loss to their controller, they can Seppuku. Being Shamed is just one of the most common cases. Vaughn Derderian, "Rules for July 23rd", 23 Jul 2001
