A: No (http://l5r.alderac.com/rulings/#Battle). Zen Faulkes, "Rules for 12 December 2003", 12 Dec 2003 - Q: and throw -1C to Akodo Rokuro. he dies as a result of 0C. Can Matsu Hyun react and negate the destruction? if yes, is the attachment destroyed or kept?
A: She can Negate the destruction, but since none of the penalty effects end when Rokuro leaves play, he'll just die from 0 Chi again.
The attachments aren't destroyed due to losing their Personality unless Rokuro is destroyed. Chi death kills Personalities, not Units. Attached cards simply die when their Personality dies in that situation, per the rulebook. Martin Lund, "another series of questions", 25 Mar 2005
